Jardin Antiques opened its doors at 3218 O St. NW
in Washington DC in May 2004. We have been collectors
of French antique furniture and garden antiques for
many years, after the experience of furnishing a
town house in Washington, a country home in Virginia
and a ‘maison secondaire’ in Provence. Having a base
in France provided the opportunity to develop a network
of contacts in Paris and the South of France and
to find unusual French decorative antiques, Provence
furniture and accessories. In addition to French
antique furniture of the 18th and 19th centuries
- Louis XV, Louis XVI, Directoire, Empire, Regence
and later, both formal and provincial pieces - we
have also become increasingly interested in Swedish
Gustavian furniture and Biedermeier and selected
Continental pieces. As keen gardeners we have been
collecting garden antique furniture and ornaments
and have acquired a number of cast iron and faux
bois (false wood - concrete or stone composition)
pieces. If you don’t find what you are looking for
