Our new shipment has arrived from France at our store in Washington DC. In this collection we have some beautiful Gustavian furniture: 18th and 19th century cabinets, tables, commodes and tabourets. We have a wonderful pair of ebonized Biedermeier commodes as well as traditional Biedermeier cherry and birch pieces. As usual we have a fine selection of French antique furniture and our Provence furniture includes a beautiful painted commode. Our finds in French decorative antiques include a large collection of creamware (Pont aux chou, Montereau, Creil and Gien) as well as traditional ceramics from Alsace, Provence and the South West of France. This shipment also includes a large selection of mirrors. Perhaps the items we are proudest of are a pair of Chinoiserie panels, a sofa and a coffee table made by Jansen between 1930 and 1950.
